. Schapelle was convicted...20 yr sentence.
. All this stuff on TV won't change a thing.
. Howard govt is trying to negotiate PTA but not interested in doing much more than that.
. Many people think Schapelle's guilty....not enough believe she's innocent or her sentence is unjust to raise their voices against our govt in anger...like Hicks supporters are doing and getting the Howard govt to act.


I watched the 7 show up until they showed Schapelle at the resort having a nice lunch and happy......in November 2004 !!!!!...taped the rest....also taped the 9 show....gotta watch them tonight later.

Can't take a lie detector test as he's on medication........lol.
He did tell Mercedes he had documents...it was a setup....Jodi wanted to confront Mercedes.
Someone should tell Jodi to get lost...this is about Schapelle...not her.

After viewing TT I am utterly flabergastered.

Here is my summary of the story that appeared tonight on channel 7's <i>TodayTonight</i> program.

First off this entire sorry chain of events is a result of one simple fact. These people have decided they are the Lie Detector Police and mercedes needed to sit a lie detector test and she needed to sit it now. Despite only ever having said she would do a lie detector test when asked by channel 9 channel 7 felt they were going to confront mercedes and force her to do the test. Afterall this was the same network who's recent story involved a full assualt on mercedes and her family. The same network who cared so little for Schapelle and her family they announced through Jodie Power that the entire Corby family were international drug smugglers. Mercedes would surely love to have a chat with them and submit to any request they may have. See how moronic that sounds? What were these people expecting?? Anyways I will continue.

It didnt matter that mercedes has a brand new baby. They wanted the story. It is their duty to harrass and hound. It is the journlists code!! Isn't it? So knowing all this they still went after her. They hired a PI to find her. He has got her mobile phone number and called her. He tells mercedes he has documents. No further mention was made of the documents in the story. This exclusion of detail was deliberate. Obviously the PI has lured mercedes to a meeting place with the promise of documents pertaining to her sister. There is no way he mentioned Liz O'niel he says and claims the News Limited journalist lied about what he said in yesterdays news reports. Nevertheless and no matter who or who wasnt mentioned it is obvious these are the actions of a person with no morals. How could you even think about doing that to the family?? Obviously mercedes is going to want to meet with anyone who she thinks has legitimate information that may help free her sister. Please remember while you read this that Mercedes is not obligated to answer anything and especially not the claims of Jodie Power or anyone from Channel 7 after what they have done to her and her family.. Channel 7 has paid alot of money for Jodie Powers story and now they are trying to milk it for all they can. Jodie claims mercedes has 'hurt too many people' and this is why she is doing this. Mercedes? Somebody? Who actually has she hurt? Jodie has an extra hundred grand and her freedom. She surely isnt refering to herself I hope. How can Jodie sit there and claim anyone but Schapelle is ultimately hurt here. End result is that if you are now not clear there is nothing Channel 7 will not to do to create a story you never will.


The next part of the story is the sickest of all. They produced photos of Schapelle and her sister. They claimed they were taken in November 2004. Apparently they were eating lunch and had been inadvertedly captured in an unrelated parties holiday snaps. Ok so here is the real kicker. Even if Schapelle was out for a brief lunch in 2004 what does it actually mean. Well Channel 7 would have you beieve that it was a holiday in Kerobokan prison. The story continued with an interview with an 'ex-inmate' from Hotel K who claimed you could buy a day out of the prison for the right money. These sorts of claims are obviously nothing short of fantasy. I am so disgusted anyone could imply that Schapelle's life could be ANYTHING but a nightmare. She sleeps in a cell where you can never turn the light out! The toilet is a bucket in the corner!! How could spoilt australians say these things about her!!! I am so mad tonight my resolve is only strengthened ten fold. Those of you that continue to harrass and hound Schapelle and her family should be utterly ashamed of yourselves.

Dumbfounded yet increasingly angry I sat and watched and listened. The story continued and next channel 7 showed footage of Schapelle where they alleged she was seen unhandcuffed outside the prison walls!! Apparently more evidence she was living the high life!! More controversial footage you think? Well think again sucker! Incredibly and almost defying belief you could clearly see that Schapelle was in fact wearing handcuffs!! I honestly nearly fell of my chair when attempting to process the fact that as well as wearing handcuffs she was actually being escorted by the Indonesian police!!! Channel 7 is so deplorable and so disgusting that even Schapelle in handcuffs whilst being led by the police is Schapelle having an easy day in Bali. That is something so ridiculous that it is not even worth of response.


Look people this is not healthy and postive current affairs it is disgusting and low gutter journalism. This is a young persons life at stake here and this is how we are supporting her. Holy moly I could almost cry.

Next I am watching ACA. Report to follow.

Jodi Power rings up TT and says 'Mercedes hasn't taken the lie detector test like I wanted her to, & she promised' yada yada.

Mercedes isn't talking to TT lately. Just like TT wouldn't talk to Mercedes from December last year when she had got wind of the Jodi Power interview tape.

So TT decide to employ ex-spook Colin Chapman who works for anyone who will pay him. [Ch 7 and Ch 9 are competitors after all] He has his version, Merc has hers as to what happened over the phone. But Merc isn't going to be sucked into any old con. She has heard them all. Which is why she asked Colin Chapman a 100 questions first. So whatever Colin said, it at least had to sound LEGIT to someone who has dealt with what Mercedes has.

The false meeting is arranged. 5 cameras are set up, 2 are hidden. TT journo Brian Seymour is there. There are no documents that could help her sister. It was an unbelievable kick in the guts - how did they really expect Mercedes to react to a set-up like that?? They thought they would 'get a reaction' and they wanted to film it. And it is worse because Jodi Power is standing outside the McDonalds restaurant as well.... [TT really didn't explain that]

And thus not what TT had hoped for. Mercedes sees its rubbish and walks out carrying baby.

Colin Chapman does his News Limited interview, says he was misquoted, and is considering suing them. Chapman then attempted to pass a lie detector test 3 times. The polygraph expert [Steve Van Apren again] unplugged the test as the medication Chapman is currently taking, renders him 'medically unsuitable'. Any lie detector test taken on Chapmans medication will turn out 'inconclusive'. TT asked Chapman if he would try another lie detector test when he is off this medication. Chapman replied yes he would.

TT asked Jodi 'Do you think Mercedes has defamed and slandered your name?
Jodi replied yes.

Jail Excursions

TT had a journo [I didn't get his name properly] say that the photos shown on the ads were taken Monday, November 29, 2004. And he said they were taken at a Bungalow in Bali. Schapelle's hair was long - but wet and combed back. Hence I thought it was short hair in those photos. I am only assuming the guy posing in the middle is a guard, face pixilated, name withheld, in fear of his life, they say.

Now the 'doctors' trip was of course the recent dentist trip.
So they have no story there at all. Idiots.

It was good that a 'recently released prisoner' was able to explain how easy it is to bribe the guards for day trips. He said it's about $30 for an Indonesian prisoner and $500 for foreign prisoners. Informative.

So at the moment it is one mystery trip months before Schapelle was sentenced.
And a toothache.

'Today Tonight' Corby photos slammed by family.

Alleged photographic proof of Schapelle Corby paying for day release from prison has been slammed by the convicted drug smuggler's supporters.

Photographs of Corby enjoying drinks with her sister Mercedes at the beach aired on Channel Seven's Today Tonight last night, along with allegations Corby had bribed Kerobokan prison officials for the day out.

But Mercedes denied Schapelle had paid a bribe for the release, insisting that the photos were taken during a legal family visit before her sister was sentenced.

The Corby family agreed with the current affair program's allegations that the photos were taken on November 29, 2004, more than a month after she had been arrested. But they said that during this time Corby was still awaiting sentencing, and by legal arrangements was allowed out of her cell on occasion to meet her family.

"She does not get out. She's locked in a cage for 15 hours a day," Mercedes told The Daily Telegraph.

Mercedes has previously denied rumours that Schapelle has been given day release from prison, saying she would be instantly recognised in Bali's bars or restaurants.

If Schapelle were relaxing at the beach, sipping cocktails by the resort pool, shopping, and dancing in clubs in Kuta....I hope no one thinks I'd be outraged that she'd bribed someone.

She should no longer be in jail anyway.....she's been there 3 years, that's long enough...she should now get parole.
The Mexican woman was only sentenced to 7 years for smuggling FOUR TIMES as much mj as was found in Schapelle's bag. ....16 kilos.......she got half off for good behaviour.....she served 3 1/2 years.
Respected Jakarta Post journalist told the radio host this shortly after Schapelle was sentenced.

THE bitter current affairs war between Channels Seven and Nine sank to new lows last night after claims Today Tonight used an Indonesian air crash victim to ambush Mercedes Corby.

In their biggest skirmish since the race to save West Papuan boy Wa-Wa from cannibals, A Current Affair attacked the Seven news programme, claiming it had tricked the sister of convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby into appearing on camera.

And Mercedes herself last night lashed out at Today Tonight's claims her sister is living the high life, with outings from jail, after bribing officials.

It's a very close up one...the tape from further away showed Schapelle looking well....and younger, with her shorter hair....a lot younger looking than when dressed as an "Indonesian matron" on sentencing day.
In one part I caught a glimpse of "Little ballet Schapelle"...the hair and face, only older.
Yikes!....she must not be allowed to rot in prison...she musn't.
