Ok so a summary of the whole sorry sage is as follows.


1. Mercedes was NEVER going to met up with Channel 7 after what her and Jodie Power did to her and her family. Think about it. They launced a massive attack against Mercedes and her family and obvioulst Mercedes was never going to give them another interview after what they did to her.

2. TT have known this and have decided the only way to get an interview and a subsequent explosive confrontation between Mercedes and Jodie was to suck her in with lies. And that is exactly what they did. THat garbage about her having a baby and therefore everything was off is simply TT trying to back pedal.

3. THe photos TT showed attemtpting to implicate Schapelle in day trips all over Bali. We now know that she was with the CHIEF OF THE PROSECUTION!! Channel 7 need to be sued rotten for allowing this misrepresentation to occur.

4. The second claim they made about another day of freedom for Schapelle was shown with footage of Schapelle handcuffed to the police!!!!

5. In conclusion this is the most disgusting display of TV journalism I have ever seen. What the hell do they want from Schapelle!?! These people are the lowest of the low.

A Synopsis.

Colin Chapman the PI hired by Today Tonight started by leaving phone messages with Mercedes. Using the cover name 'Roger Northy'.

COLIN CHAPMAN VOICE MESSAGE TO MERCEDES CORBY:

Received 9th March 12:21 PM

"Miss Corby it's Roger Northy here -
we met sometime ago during your
sisters trial... I have some documents
that have been given to me -
some of them are rather confidential.
I would like to pass them onto you
as soon as possible, they've been
given to me to pass onto you directly.
I would wonder if you could give me
a call back at your earliest convenience
on 0417 778 569"



COLIN CHAPMAN VOICE MESSAGE TO MERCEDES CORBY:

"I've landed at Coolongatta airport.
I'll be on the coast for the afternoon
and then I have to fly down to Sydney
so I would like to hand these documents
over to you.
I think you may find
them of some interest.
They've been given to us
by a mutual contact in Bali.
So I look forward to your call"

Mercedes was suspicious, and didn't return the call.

Colin Chapman a.k.a. 'Roger Northy' calls back saying he was
from DFAT and said he had documents that could help Schapelle.

So Mercedes called Kathryn Bonella on the Friday night. And told her everything.

Kathryn is interviewed and stands by every word Mercedes said.

The next day Colin Chapman a.k.a. 'Roger Northy' starts sending text messages to Mercedes.

COLIN CHAPMAN TEXT MESSAGES TO MERCEDES CORBY:

bar, coffee shop etc
that is convenient to you"?

THEN COLIN CHAPMAN SAYS HE IS LINING UP MERCEDES TO MEET 'AN OFFICIAL' FROM DFAT! [The Secret Contact ---- who of course turned out to be just TT journo Brian Seymour.... more about him soon]

CHAPMAN TEXT MESSAGE TO MERCEDES:

"He would be comfortable just
the two of you,
I think he is very
cautious of his own
situation.
He's about 55 y.o.
short and fat.
So you need not be concerned."

The meet is arranged.



And next thing Mercedes was confronted by TT journalist Brian Seymour,
5 cameras and Jodi Power waiting too.

Mercedes turns and leaves the situation,
gets her and her baby back in car and drives away.
In the car, she rings Kathryn Bonella back
but this time to say that she was just set up by TT.
Kathryn said Mercedes was sobbing.
