It's time, I feel, for a heart warming story. It seems that your 'Hall of Shame' is made up of the sheep who follow what others believe and add a piece more just so they feel they fit in. Unfortunately, you have ignored the wolves - the manipulators of Schapelle's tragedy.

Many years ago I was watching my black and white television when a woman appeared on the screen to explain in a strange detached manner that her baby had been taken by a dingo. She identified the baby's bloody clothing and no emotion passed across her face.

As the days progressed, I learned that she was a Seventh Day Adventist and that her husband was a pastor and since I'd been involved in cult de-programming I understood everything I'd seen. What nobody realised is that although Seventh Day Adventists are not considered a cult, the members live their lives isolated from the rest of the community and to justify their beliefs to neighbors and friends an 'us and them' mindset develops. When the cameras were turned off, Lindy Chamberlain most likely howled her heart out but for those brief moments that Australia was watching she would show how God's love and her religion of choice protects her from pain.

But the man on the street never saw that. They saw a cold hearted religious fanatic and believed that the child's name 'Azaria', meant sacrifice. I joined the support movement with a sign in hand and went to chant outside the couthouse in Darwin. The real evil wasn't from the sheep who bleated their beliefs and lacked the brains to find out what 'Azaria' meant, it was the Darwin Police who had withheld information that would have vindicated her.

A man had written an article in the West Australian newspaper about how Lindy's body language and mannerisms proved her guilt. What's more he laid out a proof that the husband, Michael, was involved as well. Since, I am a bit of a hoarder, I kept the article vowing one day to get even with this charlatan.

The years past and Lindy was released and although 80% of the population had once believed she was guilty they seemed to have disappeared. From that time on, everyone you ever met had been a supporter... of course, they were.

I went to WAIT, now callled Curtain University, to do some additional units when who should I see but the writer of the aforementioned article tutoring a creative writing course. That was apt. So, I found the newspaper article and photocopied a thousand copies and planted them all over the campus...

ha ha ha ... I got revenge because apparantly he was the only person in Australia who had believed Lindy Chamberlain was guilty.

My contribution to this little story -
My uncle worked for Correctional Services
in Darwin Prison during 1980.
And he was the guy who had to interview Lindy on a number of occasions.
I emailed him only a few months ago about this.
Lindy was late getting to the first interview because she wanted to look her best no matter what.
She wore torquoise eye make-up to blend in with her prison smock.
She was very self-contained, trying to control her emotions.
My uncle knew the Darwin Police case against Lindy Chamberlain was "weak".
And he never once thought Lindy had killed her baby, Azaria. Not once.
And living up there you couldn't avoid the conversation...

as for them buying the domain name, well lets just say that none of them are really serious about doing anything. They just have their own agendas and issues, EG: Uluru - paranoid and using the forum to spread his racism and consipracy theories

and they ( the group) seem to want a place to appear to be doing something for 'a cause' of some sort.
They are a little bit like a nerdy church group trying to be funky and caring (but failing) and simply slapping one another on the back saying 'well done', not unlike Hillsong in Sydney actually.

Reality and verified proof means little to this tiny group, anyone who questions Corbys version of events or her family and expresses the view that 'hey she just might be guilty' is banished and ridiculed by the 'group' in a manner not unlike the TV and radio shows and politicians they pour scorn on.

Highly regarded and respected police like Mick Keelty are regularly defamed on here, despite the fact that he has access to far more facts and proof than the sum total of her supporters group. It seems that if you think Corbys guity then that's enough reason to want to drive a stake through your heart and throw your body out for the vultures, balanced judgement and examining all versions and points of view are banned.

Read posts on here and you'll see that sometimes one of her supporters slips up and admits that she may indeed be guilty but then say they don't care and that she should be released anyway

Perhaps those same people should move to the US where the bulk of the population is so much like the senior member 'Uluru' and won't be happy until every other part of the world is just like their home: no cultural diversity, no balance of views, no respect for others religious or other beliefs and no tolerance of others generally.

If Corby was male, or didn't wear makeup all the time to try to hide her ever growing similarity to her mum Rose, I suspect we'd have seen less of the pack mentality and ferver of those who had supported her, but then that died off amazingly didn't it

Even if she makes it back to Australia she will remain, like others in her family, a convicted person with drug affiliations.
Based on a lightweight book and proof like 'her eyes' this group have decided she's innocent and like disciples dote on her every word. I believe it just goes to show what a tentative grip they have on reality and real priorities in their lives. I wish that instead of helping one person. who by the way seems obsessed with makeup and haircare and has the means to be, they'd assist a group like Sydney City Mission with either $ or their time instead and thereby help people who have no family unit to assist them, no shelter and no food and certainly no makeup available to them
