Of cause she should be able too. It'd help pay all the god dam legal fees that poor kid has too pay' not to mention her family how much have they spent trying to get her help. Everytime they visit her ther've coughing up more money to the money hungry'scum sucking prison pigs. You know if someone sends SCHAPELLE a gift like toiletries or food. just to receive it costs that family. I would love for her to write another book and i hope the procedes are double she deserves it so does her family............. GOD BLESS THEM ALL

I am not familiar with Australian laws. This page covers the debate from an Australian point of view:
AM - Schapelle Corby book prompts debate over profiteering in prison
That's an interesting debate in the url given above.

Australia has laws preventing criminals profiting from their crimes through literary proceeds but Schapelle was not convicted in Australia, she was convicted in Indonesia (a separate jurisdiction -- so the laws of Bali would apply to her ability to keep the profits from her book).

If
copyrights for the book were assigned by Corby to her sister, Mercedes, and co-author Kathryn Bonella, I would think they could control the proceeds and hold the money in some sort of trust fund for Schapelle.

New York passed the Son of Sam Law, "a law designed to keep criminals from profiting from their crimes often by selling their stories."
Son of Sam law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

David Berkowitz (aka Son of Sam) was an odious serial killer.
I believe Schapelle is innocent and not in the same league with Berkowitz at all.
