Keep strong beautiful, amazing woman! I am currently half way through your book since starting only a day ago. I can not put it down, and I can not go on living my every day life without trying to help prove your innocence. I worked for nearly four years at Coolangatta Airport as Ground Crew. I started as a check-in agent, then progressed to load control of the aircraft and then became a Ground Crew Supervisor. I worked for a company called xxxxxxxxxxx who hold the contracts to run both Virgin Blue and Freedom Air Airlines. I witnessed many unusual happenings during my time in the airline industry. Not once were any of the staff tested for drugs during my employment there, and no initial drug testing at commencement of employment was carried out. After spending many social events with both customer service and baggage staff, I believe 60% of staff at Coolangatta Airport would test positve to recreatioinal activities. I am composing a letter of what I witnessed during my employment, ranging from no drug testing,no baggage screening, theft from luggage, theft from lost property, staff and some management enjoying a little party, sexual harrassment and no security cameras. I want to bring this to the governments attention, and push for a nation wide drug test of all airline workers, with published results and consequences. I know you are innocent!!! Truth will provail!! I hope some how I can make a difference and bring you home!! Please advise if you dont approve of me writing this letter and getting it out to the government bodies. I can't sleep with worry for you! Know that you are loved and the people of australia do care! Let me know any way that I can help! One more voice can make a difference!!!

All the things you detail are alleged to, or have been proven to have happened at our airports. The whole airline/airport security system at the time Schapelle flew to Bali was an absolute disgrace....presided over for the decade prior by the Howard govt. If you write a letter detailing it all......if I were you I wouldn't sign my name to it.....some strange things have happened to whistleblowers...two died...one at an airport....in recent times. Most of the things you detail were confirmed by ex baggage handlers who rang Sydney radio and told all...the thefts from luggage, how bags were opened with nail files etc then closed again. You'll never catch me travelling with a suitcase or bag that has a zipper....I went straight out and bought my wife and myself a hard case with a combination...no more zippers for me! Airport staff were never checked at security gates at the airport when reporting for work or when finishing...they could take whatever bags in and out of the airport at will. There were never any CCTV security cameras anywhere. A huge rort you could say. http://www.travelnewsdaily.com/archives/003722.shtml THE Qantas baggage handler who wore a camel head, taken from a passenger's luggage, on to the tarmac at Sydney Airport is still working at the airport. An investigation by The Sunday Mail has revealed that up to eight baggage handlers took turns in wearing the camel suit for a laugh. .................................................. .................................................. ...................... The govt knows about all this already....they just choose to bow at the feet of Indonesia and say; "There's nothing we can do, it's the justice system of Indonesia, an independent , sovereign nation". So Schapelle sits in prison. A ring of baggage handlers and security staff at the airport in Bali were arrested recently for being crooks, stealing from passengers luggage etc. Wonder if demanding bribes was part of their scams? Who's to say Bali cops, officials or JI terrorists working at the airport....maybe some of the 20 million Indonesians who support the Bali bombers.... didn't put the drugs in Schapelle's bag [thinking they'd get a young male scruffy surfer type] so they could capture a "Western trophy prize" drug smuggler? |
