Ah, c'mon Uluru................you can hack it!!!
Let's all go to Bali with red t's emblazoned Corby is innocent. There are great little shanty hotels where no tourist would be seen dead in. Why, I believe we could stay in the jail for a couple of dollars a night to be safe from terrorists. Yes, lots of fun and I really love Bali. Surfs up........... Dee |

Lots of people love Bali. Lots of people loved Bali. Bali is not like it used to be. http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems...0/s1217841.htm http://www.theage.com.au/articles/20...?from=storyrhs The victims all had friends. __________________________________________________ ___ Safe from terrorists in jail? Nah. The terrorists are in the jail...taunting Schapelle! My Story...page 2 [middle of page]. plus pages 101/102 Page 101 also details other cases where the sentences for murderers and other XXX who did worse than that for which Schapelle was convicted, IMO, and got only a few years. Schapelle's sentence is really unfair...and it's about time the Australian govt demanded something be done about it. |

I have to agree with you regarding the prublicity stunt, although when it is safer to do so I would love nothing more than to fly over there and see her and her family and let them know that we will not forget her and we will not let her life go unnoticed. I am not sure that publicity stunts are what is best for her. I have been reading her book and I am so in awe of her strength and inner peace and humor. I know if I were in her shoes I would surly have given in long ago, I am glad she has shown the true aussie fighting spirit and we can all show her the true aussie spirit of mateship and never let her forget that there are people who do belive her innocence and that she will one day be free. I hope that the government find a way to bring her home or the other side say enough is enough and we have made an example of the aussies and we have shown we are tough on drugs so we should just ler her go now. When you look at the people who really are guilty it makes you cry when you see someone who is innocent in that hell hole. keep supporting her and let me know if yuo decide to travel I will go. By the way does anyone know if she gets regular magazine postings? i would like to send her mags and books to keep her busy and anything else she might want or need, any help would be good.

http://www.randwick.nsw.gov.au/default.php?id=67 The Meaning of the Bali Memorial Sculpture This memorial is a tribute to the Australian spirit of courage and endurance. The three linked figures in this sculpture signify family, friends and community. Bowed in sorrow and remembrance, they comfort, support and protect each other. The figures also symbolise life, growth, hope and our strength in unity. Individually, each figure could be easily toppled, but joined together they form a strong and supported whole structure. As well as commemorating the victims, the Memorial also pays tribute to the Australian spirit of courage, strength in the face of tragedy and selfless help to those in desperate need. It is tall enough for people to walk under and reach up to touch the underside of the lower loop, creating a "brightspot" on the bronze. A brightspot is a feature of many bronze sculptures; it is created when the spot is touched in reverence by human hands over many years. __________________________________________________ ____ If you're ever in Sydney you might like to reach up and touch the bronze in reverence to help create a "brightspot" on the bronze....in memory of the victims and as a tribute to our spirit of courage, strength in the face of tragedy and hope for the future. If the powers that be in Indonesia and Australia think we'll ever be giving up on Schapelle they need to have a serious rethink. Last edited by uluru : 02-03-2007 at 05:29 PM. |

http://www.ballarat.com/eurekastockade.htm "We swear by the Southern Cross to stand truly by each other and fight to defend our rights and liberties." http://66.29.139.160/index.php?optio...35&Itemi d=61 Eureka 1854 Ballarat Victoria Australia The Eureka Rebellion on the 3rd of December 1854 has been the only civil insurrection to occur in Australia. The battle at the Eureka Stockade was a revolution, a lasting symbol of the struggle against injustice and oppression and a defining moment in the creation of the Australian spirit – fairness and a ‘fair go’ for all. Like the storming of the Bastille and the Boston Tea Party before it, the Eureka Rebellion was the culmination of the refusal of citizens to be oppressed by unfair government and laws. It was an important step in the establishment of democratic principles, including 'taxation with representation', and the right of each person to have a say in how they are governed, along with the Australian notion of 'a fair go for all'. The themes underlying the discontent on the Ballarat goldfields still carry potent meaning in contemporary Australia: issues of freedom, human rights, democracy and national identity. _____________________________________________ Has Schapelle had "a fair go"? Not even close! So out comes the spirit of Eureka....still strong 153 years later. |
