Hi Everyone,
We would like to wish you all a very Merry Chistmas and a Happy New Year!! Thank you all so much for you continued support of Schapelle and our family over the past two years. Thank you for also not letting the lies in the media change your opinons. To everyone who sends letters and packages to Schapelle, thank you so much. This is one of the things that keeps her strong and in touch with the outside world. Merry Christmas Schapelle and all our family x |

To Miss Mercedes and all the brave and gracious Corby's --
Thank you for sharing your time and opening your heart to strangers on this forum and elsewhere. May we be worthy of your openness and trust. I have had a burden for the gallant, gentle and innocent one since the first time I heard of her ( CNN, right after the verdict) but unlike most here have had the great advantage of distance in dealing with it. Rural New Mexico is impossibly isolated, someting I have grown to appreciate more and more the way the world is going. Surrounded in real life by more cows than people, and surrounded online by a dedicated group who have researched the FACTS of Miss Schapelle's case better than I have and who love her more than I ever could, the sensationalistic emphasis of some of her early supporters and the incredible lies told by her detractors have alike had little effect on me. In my computer files there is no picture of your sister crying, no record of court theatrics or media absurdities. In my memory there is little more. I don't need to endlessly rehash May 27 to remind me of why I care, nor do I need to examine every new story by sources which have misrepresnted the truth so badly in the past. I hardly bother with journalistic accounts of the case at all any more ( Tony Wilson's very gratefully excepted). My thinking is entirely forward-looking, entirely practical. Of course my opinions merely as mine are of little interest to you or anyone, and I don't claim to speak for anyone else on this forum. I would not have taken so much space for this reply except that I do believe that I and everyone else here do represent and speak for an uncountable number who belong to no forum and say nothing publicly. There are so many gentle, humble, heroic people giving to, writing to, and most importantly praying for Miss Schapelle whose names we cannot know because they have nothing to prove and ask nothing for themselves, now or later. God knows them as He knows her, and I remain confident both that He will bring her home in His time and that they -- we-- will still be here on that day. Until then... much love from your loyal desert rat, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Christmas. |
