Dear Shapelle -
I am a human rights attorney in San Francisco and have been following your case since I first heard about it prior to the unjust verdict. I know what you need most is money for your defense, which at this time, I cannot provide. But I wanted to send you a message of support and let you know that after hearing about your case, I cancelled my own plans to visit Bali and will not make plans to return unless they make substantial changes to their justice system or I can somehow provide assistance in your case. I am keeping all my attorney friends advised of updates in your case and if there is something that someone can think of to help you out, I will pass it along. Coming from someone who has travelled a great deal throughout the world (including numerous times to Australia) I know I have always been in fear of being subject to another countries laws where I won't be treated fairly. I believe 100% in your innocence and I am appauled at the lack of fair trials in your case and others throughout the world. I am keeping informed through the Sydney Morning Herald online and other places where I can find updates in your case. Please keep the faith and if there is anything you can think of that I can do to help, I will do it. Very truly yours, Keith Koller, Esq. San Francisco, CA |
