There are certain people in this forum that take uluru out of context and give him a cyber bashing... thankfully our friend uluru is thick skinned. The one's that complain never have anything informative or contructive to say they just nit-pick and try to bully our friend off the forum - I think they are just jealous that uluru takes the time to do his homework :D |

I have plenty of guts dont you worry about that for one second Myself, murray and possum are happy to have uluru as a member of the forum. At this stage Schapelle needs all the support she can get. I believe Uluru has Schapelle's best interest at heart. Yeah he waffles a bit thats for sure but he doesnt deserve to be drawn and quartered for his views. Besides, this constant pickering is potentially also damaging to Schapelle so think about that too would you please. |

Alan Jones does support Schapelle....still, after all that's been said on tv et al.
Only yesterday morning, as I posted in another thread here, he was being rather forceful with Attorney General Ruddock over his and the govt's seeming inaction over Schapelle's situation, PTA, and sentence/unfair treatment. I see no one else much in the media still believing she could be innocent....and taking on the big bosses of our country on her behalf. He doesn't have to...he has racehorses, plenty of money, and other interests....it'd not affect his life one iota what happened to Schapelle. Schapelle is from "Struggle Street"...which granted can be a little tiresome a phrase sometimes but can also be right on the money when describing some of the unfortunate cases of people he and the other radio hosts/listeners assist. Staring at a twenty year sentence in hell...whether in an Indonesian jail [where the life expectancy is , well, less than 20 years]...or possibly a concrete 'dog box' at Mullawa or the equivalent in Qld [luckily Boggo Rd and its ilk have been closed], Schapelle is most certainly in Struggle Land, struggling every day to stay 'sane', I'd say. Alan Jones, whether people like him or not, is very intelligent, very well-researched in his statements and topics, a lot more so than most of the politicians he ties in knots with simple questions and facts, figures and stats. LOL HE does his homework...many of the politicians do NOT...have not a clue about most of their portfolios. I do not agree with all of his opinions, but I cannot recall one occasion where the facts and stats he's quoted have been wrong. __________________________________________________ ______________ I would certainly love to hear from the Indonesian posters here about what they think that people in Indonesia think about us, and our aid to Indonesia, and our slant on Schapelle's sentence and treatment. What is being discussed on the radio here and by callers could definitely affect them in the future. Our aid was mentioned again on the radio yesterday and the fact that Schapelle's PTA seems to be not going well, and that our leaders are not being forceful enough in their negotiations. People calling the radio, and a host, [the radio is on the net and goes out worldwide now, expats email from all over the world and American callers sometimes phone in phone from America ] are saying that, despite all our aid over the years, all our help in times of need, and all our loss of life in the process of good relations, we seem not to have been elevated to "Most favored nation" status in Indonesia amongst the people who matter....and those who now vote for them in the democracy. I do not support racist people, Alan Jones has his own agenda. I could go on about who he has supported over the years ( I have a good memory ), but that would take a lonnnnng time. And who he has made money off. You keep on telling people to read Schapelles' book, ( which was written by a third party by the way, who just happens to make money out of every book that is sold ) I tell you to read Jonestown!! |

Do you begrudge Schapelle and her family of making some money out of her ordeal... why shouldn't she... there are many others out there who have. I think their earnings are well deserved, Schapelle has been totally cheated out of a normal life... she deserves compensation. The family has spent a lot of money on Schapelle's trial and visiting her - they certainly deserve some recompense too. |

Well obviously were going to tell people to read Schapelle's book. It is an unfortunate part of todays society that money has to be involved. Schapelle just wanted a chance to tell her story. Shes a beauty therapist not a novelist. She shouldnt even be having to write books I might add and clearly(if you took the time to read it) you would see that the majority is indeed written by Schapelle. I highly doubt Kathyrn Bonella or the Corby family will be living large on the proceeds of Schapelle's book. They are an average hard working Aussie family who have been catapulted directly into hell. |
