Try dirt and sticks in with the rice, bathing out of a bucket in the pig sty prison, the same as Schapelle....sort of like I imagine a Sierra Leone prison to be.

Looking at it from a financial poit of view:

Say I were in jail in Bali instead of Schapelle and I wanted to write a book, what would it cost me to hire a good, articulate journalist to write it for me, organise the photos, layout, editing, and proper composition of it....arrange distribution and sale?
What would I have to pay the journalist to be in Bali for a long time and to visit a prison and take risks?

Quite a tidy sum I'd say.

Although the book is a best-seller, this is not America where the population is 300 million.
The costs in producing this book would be substantial....the printers must be paid.

Much of the proceeds of sales would be paid out in costs.
Yes, Kathryn will receive part of the profits, but IMO the sum won't be as much as some people perceive.
The proceeds from the book won't be making anyone rich.
IMO Kathryn helped Schapelle get her story told as she believes in her cause.

Uluru your surely "daytime dreaming" arent you? You do your own cause injustice by stating that kathryn would be treated 'as the same as Schapelle' if caught in Indonesia. So what would the Indonesian authorities charge Kathryn for-being a journalist? Please explain... Unless Kathyrn had 4kg of MJ stashed away in her laptop I dont think that being a foreign jounalist in Indonesia is a crime? Wern't there dozens of other foreign jounalists in Indonesia at the time of the Corby trial? Didnt you watch the news coverage by other journalists on tv? I dont remember any reporter getting 20 years in Indonesia? Do you Uluru? I hate to bring you up too speed on world affairs Uluru (you should at least have the respect to use a capital) but Kathyrn didnt visit Schapelle in Nazi Germay during 1939. You make out like the Indonesians would burn all Kathryn's material during a full moon while dancing naked around the bon fire.

It's obvious that you know little about Sierra Leone and Indonesia as you think that both countries are similar. Just do a simple Google search and you will realise how far off the mark you are about Sierra Leone.

As for Kathyrn, history will record her as just another person who wrote a book and made a profit. If Kathryn is the 'true believer' that you make her out to be than why doesnt Kathryn donate her percentage to the Corby cause or even better a charity? No Kathryn has chosen to keep the profits of the Shapelle book to herself. Until Australian's tie Kathryn to a pole and set her on fire than I dont think she can be classified as some "Joan of Arc" of the Corby cause... If Kathyrn is the true believer than why didnt she offer her services for free...? Or is it that Kathryn is a former 60 minutes producer and she can smell a good story that will sell a mile away? Hate to tell you but dont believe everything you read-especially when it comes from a person who profits from anothers persons misery...

And finally to bring you up too speed on economics-most countries in the world have infrastructure such as hospitals, roads, utilities, education systems to maintain with tax payers dollars. Usually these priorities are ahead of building five star accomadation for prisoners  If you work Uluru, were would you want your tax dollars to go? Building "golf prisons" or schools, hospitals etc? Not a hard choice is it Uluru...?

I like "uluru" to be lower case...all nice and symmetrical ...all the "U" 's being equal...having equal rights.
I like lower case...as most things are written these days...titles of movies, everything.
If I were actually naming the Rock in a post I would write "Uluru".
My screen name I like in lower case.
I'm sure the monolith won't mind.

I have no "cause" here except seeing Schapelle freed.
My "causes" I save for other forums....where free speech is not likely to affect Schapelle.
I'd bet money you wouldn't like some of those writings, although you should agree.
whalesafebeer.com... methinks you and some others would find racist, a rich man and the radio station being sponsors.
It' not about racism...it's about SOME very nasty people killing our whales.
Anyway, it's not MY site....but I have to decide where I stand in the world...backing the campaign or not.

They burnt ALL the evidence from her trial.
They would've charged Kathryn with treason, acting against the interests of Indonesia or the like, or spying...for sure and certain.
She would've ended up in prison, no doubt....maybe not for 20 years but some years.
She took risks .... no one should be under any illusions.

You can't expect journalists and people to work for free...everyone has to live, pay rent and eat.
The supermarket gives no concessions.
Working for free?...too bad....eggs still cost the same price.

Schapelle is very lucky to have Kathryn as an ally and ghost writer...very lucky....I saw no one else offering.
I saw no one else prepared to enter the prison and take the risk.
The prison officials and cops would've gone ballistic if they'd caught her.

Prisons are all about decency and human rights for one's citizens and those from other countries.
How much basic human decency one has reflects in the way one treats one's prisoners.

I would like some of my tax dollars to be spend on providing basic standards for prisoners...edible, nourishing food.....clean cells.....running water and a bed to sleep in.
No rats, snakes, ants, bugs, human waste-flooded cells or stick and dirt food.

NO corporal punishment.
And NO executions...NO cold-blooded, premeditated murder by the State!

Yes Im sure the monolith wouldnt mind as it has no internet access and couldnt reply online if it wanted too... However the local Pitjantjatjara might have a different opinion to you. As Uluru might be a long distance away from you why dont you try walking the backstreets of Redfern in Sydney with "uluru" printed on your shirt in lower case? Perhaps then you might get the true opinion of using a lower case Uluru...?

And I didnt know that Kathryn was Indonesian? I thought that Kathryn was Australian? Do you actually know the meaning of treason?

In law, treason is the crime of disloyalty to one's nation. A person who betrays the nation of their citizenship and/or reneges on an oath of loyalty and in some way willfully cooperates with an enemy, is considered to be a traitor. Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treason).

The website address is in lower case!
In NYT forums one must always use lower case for one's screen name.

Yes, I know, this is not America...well not yet.

Treason? why not? some people were very careless with the application of Indonesian law at Schapelle's trial...as Murray posted at this site.....a truckload of breaches.
What's one more?
Sedition, treason, overthrow of the jail warden...action against the system of the country...same thing ....she'd be in BIG trouble.

Without Kathryn "My Story" would never have been written.

Redfern?
Flag T shirt with "uluru" on the back...I'd be just fine.
Like everywhere else in the country some youth there are on drugs.....mmm maybe I should wait until football game day and go with my friends....then I'd be sweet for certain.

Your surley still daytime dreaming Uluru. To try and apply the law of treason to kathryn just shows how ignorant of Indonodesia, and the laws of treason and just basically the rest of the world... Yes Murray may have mentioned a truckload of breaches but to relate that to treason you might as announce the price of fish at the same time. In your mind Kathryn and the law of treason may go hand in hand but I dont see any other members on this site backing you.. In fact Aministration and others are starting to see through you. And they dont like what they see... Try not to be so fanatical...

And I expected a juvinile comment like that. Yeah I would expect you too hide behind your mates as you wouldnt have the "stones" too back yourself up... Its typical that would hide behind others because you know you wouldnt last a second in Redfern all on your lonesome...

Arthur... why is it you and several other members constantly "bash" uluru and take his posts totally out of context

Admin and others are not joining in on the "pick on uluru gang"... uluru is a valued member and has a lot of relevant and supportive posts in this forum... yes there are times when he gets a little "passionate" and he has to be pulled up but never, ever does he constantly pick at other members and put them down.

Please stick with the formula of support and discuss rather than attack and put down... Schapelle needs strong supporters who are united... not constant bickering. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing but please be fair and tactful when you disagree with anyones's post.

Its not Uluru bashing when I choose to reply to his comments. Perhaps the perception of Uluru bashing stems from the fact that he isolates himself from other members when he is to "passionate" or "over the top" with his comments. But that is Ulurus own choice as well. Administration might think I had a penchent for targeting him as well but if you decide to reply to my comments (which is your right) than by now most people on this site will know that my comments arent too far behind.

Hey thats the internet and it was designed for communication. I have chosen my stance and will reply accordingly just like Uluru-thats just the way it is. If peoples comments tend to put them on the backfoot then perhaps they should be more careful about what they post so as they dont have to constantly defend themselves...

My friends with the colored headbands, that is.
"Yo Bro" and all that.
A few disaffected youth cause all the trouble, the rest of the community is just fine.

There won't be any "back blocks of Redfern" soon.....finally "The Block" 'slum' is to be redeveloped...after much debate.

for too long Uluru has 'used' this forum for his own hate peddling. i don't see anyone else on here continually criticising everything Indonesian.
as mentioned many times and acknowledged by Admin the Corbys have strong links and relationships with the people of Indonesia, they would likely be deeply offended by Uluru and his tirades against all Indonesians.
Admin has i think twice now asked him to 'tone it down', the toning down lasts about as long as it takes me to hit the . button

does Admin have the guts to temp ban him ????????????????

he continually takes or starts off topic threads, isn't this site about one particular family and its plight, not about plane crashes and the tired rantings of radio shock jocks aka 2GB ????????????????

If Uluru was in charge of Schapelles case she'd be in front of a firing squad with him next.

His rantings won't help her case and are likely to put many off helping her due to his extreme views

Possum I could not agree with you more. There seems to be a constant battle going on with certain people on this site, unless you agree with these people, your classed as not knowing what your talking about , so get off. I happen to get a laugh out of uluru, some of his comments, I admit are a bit off the wall, but hey some of you so called know-it-all's arn't all that correct ether. The constant nit-picking is just hurtful to the poor man and I have never seen him write anything back to be nasty, so I say give him a fair go, as I am sure he is trying to come to some conclusion, as we all should be to help Schapelle, and so what If we dont agree with him all of the time, he has a right to have his say.
